Technical Lead Developer (AI)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship production-grade software across the AI delivery stack, including backend services, APIs, and integration layers.
• Implement AI-assisted engineering practices using tools like Claude Code to build prompts, sub-agents, and workflow conventions.
• Set technical standards through reference implementations, service scaffolding, and agent orchestration components.
• Lead code reviews and provide direct technical mentorship to engineering squads to raise overall capability.
• Define and implement engineering guardrails for AI tooling, ensuring compliance with security, risk, and audit requirements in a banking environment.
• Build internal tooling and reusable assets such as repo templates, prompt libraries, and automated review systems.
• Own non-functional requirements including logging, tracing, metrics, secrets management, and CI/CD pipeline quality.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with significant experience at a Lead or Staff level.
• Deep proficiency in Java for backend development and Angular or React for frontend development.
• Strong experience with API design, distributed systems, and message-driven architectures.
• Proven track record of building and shipping software within regulated environments (e.g., banking, fintech) subject to audit and change control.
• Expertise in testing disciplines (unit, integration, contract, and E2E) and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Ability to design for high security, observability, and operational resilience.
• Strong technical writing skills to communicate complex AI engineering decisions to stakeholders.
