Technical Lead

Responsibilities

• Define and own the multi-year technology roadmap for the web chapter, aligning digital strategy with business goals.
• Lead the architecture and governance of a scalable monorepo strategy (Nx preferred) for a portfolio of 50+ websites.
• Drive the adoption of AI-assisted development practices (e.g., Claude) to accelerate delivery and modernize legacy modules.
• Set and enforce engineering standards for code quality, testing (Jest, Cypress/Playwright), accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), and performance.
• Define standards for the .NET middleware layer, including API aggregation, authentication, and BFF logic.
• Own the technical strategy and evolution of the mission-critical Agent Portal.
• Mentor senior and junior engineers on architectural principles, design patterns, and engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in web engineering.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership or chapter/guild lead role.
• Expert-level Angular experience in an enterprise, multi-site context.
• Hands-on experience with .NET middleware (ASP.NET Core) using BFF or API gateway patterns.
• Proven experience managing large-scale multi-site portfolios (30+ sites).
• Strong proficiency with monorepo tooling, specifically Nx.
• Practical experience integrating AI tools into engineering workflows.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in insurance, financial services, or B2B enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with headless CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, Sitecore).
• Knowledge of Angular Universal / SSR and micro-frontend architecture via Module Federation.
• Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-204 or AZ-305).
