Technical Instructor (CISSP)

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led training to prepare students for (ISC)² CISSP certification
• Teach advanced security concepts across eight CISSP domains including Risk Management, Asset Security, and Network Security
• Facilitate hands-on lab exercises using security assessment tools and cryptographic implementations
• Evaluate student performance through scenario-based assessments and practice exams
• Maintain student records, grades, and attendance in Salesforce and LMS platforms
• Provide feedback to curriculum development teams on lab effectiveness and content clarity

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in information security roles (e.g., Security Analyst, Engineer, or Architect)
• 2–5 years of experience teaching technical security subjects to professionals
• Technical proficiency in security governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks
• Expertise in cryptographic systems, PKI, and network security architecture
• Demonstrated understanding of regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, PCI-DSS)
• Proficiency with Generative AI tools for instructional preparation
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Active (ISC)² CISSP certification
• Experience with SIEM platforms, vulnerability management tools, and cloud security architectures
• Additional certifications such as CCSP, SSCP, CISM, CISA, or GIAC
• Experience delivering competency-based or hands-on technical training
