Technical Inspector - Heavy Construction Machinery

Responsibilities

• Manage the technical monitoring of a fleet of 200 heavy construction machines across approximately 100 sites in North-East France.
• Oversee the reception and commissioning of new machinery, ensuring compliance with orders and current regulations.
• Provide technical advice to site managers regarding machine selection and operational organization (compacting, sorting, loading, etc.).
• Conduct annual and ad-hoc technical expertise following breakdowns, technical issues, or incidents to recommend corrective actions.
• Control repair quotes from suppliers regarding technical accuracy, cost, and lead times.
• Ensure users are properly trained in the daily operation and maintenance of the equipment.

Requirements

• Bac +2/+3 degree in heavy machinery mechanics, industrial maintenance, electromechanics, or hydraulics.
• At least 3 years of experience in an operational role.
• Strong technical skills and thorough knowledge of heavy construction machinery regulations.
• Valid Driving License (Permis B) is required for regular travel between sites.
• CACES R372 certification is mandatory for operating machines outside of production.
• Proficiency in IT tools and strong interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
