Technical Innovations Specialist (Packaging)

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and piloting of new liquid and packaging solutions for innovation and brand renovation.
• Translate prototype concepts into fully commercialized products by managing technical trials at pilot and production scales.
• Partner with supply sources, third-party co-packers, and material suppliers to drive the innovation agenda.
• Ensure all packaging designs follow "Design for Quality" principles to perform effectively throughout the supply chain.
• Manage project planning, budgeting, tracking, and stakeholder communications with high rigour.
• Ensure new products comply with the Liquor Products Act and other legislative and internal standards.
• Proactively identify and bring new technologies and innovation opportunities to the business.

Requirements

• Degree level qualification or equivalent.
• 5 years of technical innovations experience within the FMCG industry.
• Strong project management skills and expertise in risk management practices.
• Deep knowledge of packaging materials, processes, and artwork specification management.
• Experience with reprographics processes and the design of packaging and liquids.
• Ability to work independently and influence senior managers and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent organizational, report preparation, and presentation skills.
