Technical Illustrator

Responsibilities

• Partner with Documentation and Training teams to develop isometric, orthographic, and perspective vector illustrations
• Work with subject matter experts to translate technical processes into visual formats
• Utilize instructional design and UX best practices to ensure engaging materials
• Align all visuals with company brand guidelines and maintain consistent visual language
• Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to develop detailed technical artwork
• Use 3D software like Blender or Plasticity to establish views and isolate components
• Assist in developing visual style guides and modular component libraries

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Illustration, Graphic Design, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in technical or educational illustration
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Creative Suite
• Familiarity with 3D applications such as Blender or Plasticity
• Demonstrated ability to create orthographic and isometric illustrations
• Understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories
• Understanding of accessibility best practices in graphic design
