Technical Director

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and support to Lab Managers, General Managers, and VP of Operations
• Develop and validate laboratory methods, work instructions, and training programs
• Research and develop solutions for non-routine technical inquiries
• Assist in preparing price quotations, project proposals, and tender documents
• Lead technical investigations to resolve client complaints and non-conformances
• Mentor laboratory personnel and provide guidance on analytical methods
• Evaluate new equipment and efficiency gains for method development
• Participate in LIMS implementation and special projects across the EHS network
• Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and environmental policies

Requirements

• University degree in a Science related program, preferably Chemistry
• Minimum 10 years of experience in an environmental laboratory environment
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership and team motivation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with technical, sales, and management staff
• Willingness to travel upwards of 75%

Preferred Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in an environmental laboratory
• Experience across multiple laboratory departments
