Technical Director - Grid Consulting

Responsibilities

• Forge strong partnerships with governmental bodies, regulatory agencies, and industry leaders to establish Siemens Energy as a trusted grid consulting partner.
• Guide customers in understanding the benefits and risks of adopting new technologies and entering new markets.
• Assist customers in defining study scopes and concepts that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Review and analyze customer RFI/RFP documents and drive bid decisions in collaboration with sales and business development teams.
• Stay current with technology developments and market trends by participating in industry conferences and association meetings.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in electrical power engineering or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in the energy sector, with a proven track record in consulting or substation projects.
• Advanced knowledge of transmission planning and operational studies (100 kV to 765 kV).
• Expertise in power system performance analyses, including steady state, dynamic stability, voltage stability, and protection coordination.
• Proficiency in Power Electronic applications such as HVDC, STATCOM, Electrolyzers, and BESS.
• Deep understanding of ISO and utility processes for new resource application and grid planning.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30% domestically and internationally.
