Technical Director Geotechnical (RGE)

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic technical leadership and mentorship to the Hong Kong geotechnical team to support regional growth.
• Lead geotechnical inputs for major infrastructure projects, including tunnels, deep excavations, foundations, and slope stability works.
• Drive innovation through advanced geotechnical modelling and numerical analysis using tools such as PLAXIS and FLAC.
• Produce, check, and review technical documentation, including reports, calculations, specifications, and tender documents.
• Support business development through proposal writing, client engagement, and thought leadership.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, sustainable engineering solutions.
• Maintain high standards of quality and risk management, ensuring compliance with safety standards and professional best practices.

Requirements

• 15+ years of proven experience in geotechnical leadership and subject matter expertise on major infrastructure projects.
• University degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Corporate Membership of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) or an equivalent professional body.
• Registered Professional Engineer (Geotechnical) (RPE(G)) qualification, or currently approaching qualification.
• Strong proficiency in producing clear, logical technical reports and presentations in English.
• Experience with advanced geotechnical modelling and numerical analysis.
