Technical Director - Civils

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the GCC Civil engineering team to deliver major infrastructure projects to the highest quality standards.
• Set clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for all team members.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the UK Civils team and other framework leads.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and clients.
• Champion the adoption of new technologies, tools, and processes to enhance framework delivery.
• Oversee resource allocation, workload management, and succession planning.
• Manage technical and commercial risks, ensuring compliance with governance protocols.
• Drive cost control, value engineering, and commercial awareness within the team.

Requirements

• 16-25 years of professional experience in civil engineering.
• Professional Qualification: CEng MIStructE or MICE.
• Strong strategic thinking and commercial awareness.
• Proven leadership and team management skills in a design delivery context.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
