About the role

Responsibilities

  • Work with expert teams to design manufacturing processes for mRNA medicines, including synthesis and lipid nanoparticle assembly
  • Use laboratory and technical skills to generate experimental results, perform data analysis, and document findings in formal reports
  • Participate in the planning, design, and execution of experiments to establish critical process parameters and control strategies
  • Perform process scale-up, support technology transfer, and provide manufacturing support at internal and external sites
  • Optimize formulation and processing conditions to ensure the stability of mRNA drug products
  • Characterize mRNA and lipid nanoparticles through collaboration with analytical teams
  • Prepare technical reports and present findings in cross-functional meetings

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field
  • Strong fundamental scientific and engineering skills for evaluating experimental data
  • Practical laboratory skills applicable to bioprocess development and analytical methods
  • Must hold current US work authorization without the need for future sponsorship
  • Ability to work onsite full-time in Norwood, MA for the duration of the internship (June 1, 2026 – August 14, 2026)

Preferred Qualifications

  • GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of high-performing teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A desire to work in a high-growth, transformational environment
