Technical Designer/Design Co-ordinator

Responsibilities

• Assist the Design Manager in reviewing, tracking, and managing design documentation across architecture, interiors, and MEP
• Ensure drawings and technical submittals are coordinated across disciplines and identify design clashes
• Maintain the design register, tracking submissions, approvals, and revisions
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain timely design input
• Prepare design packages for client and authority submissions (Dubai Municipality, DCD, DEWA, Trakhees)
• Attend coordination meetings and record meeting minutes
• Evaluate site conditions and coordinate with site teams to ensure design intent is implemented
• Respond to site RFIs and support design validation through site inspections

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering
• 3–5 years of experience in design coordination within the fit-out or construction industry
• Exposure to UAE authority approval processes and documentation standards
• Experience working with consultants and contractors on fast-track projects
• Strong understanding of interior fit-out processes
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office
• Basic understanding of Revit or BIM tools is a plus
