Technical Designer

Responsibilities

• Measure garments accurately to identify fit issues and execute fit comments
• Assess garments for compliance with specifications and construction standards
• Participate in live-model and form-fitting sessions to resolve issues
• Create detailed fit comment documents using written and visual communication
• Communicate daily with vendors regarding fit, construction, and grading
• Build and maintain accurate tech packs using Adobe Illustrator and PLM systems
• Identify potential product, quality, or costing risks early
• Track and manage workflow, fit schedules, and calendar adherence
• Partner with Product Development and Design to ensure BOMs remain updated
• Review and approve final inspection spec sheets prior to bulk shipment

Requirements

• 5-7 years of Technical Design experience, preferably in Ready-to-Wear
• Associate degree in a related field required; Bachelor's preferred
• Strong knowledge of prototyping, patternmaking, garment construction, and grading
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Experience using PLM systems (WFX preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Highly organized and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
