Technical Designer/Design Co-ordinator

Responsibilities

• Support the Design Manager by coordinating design activities and managing documentation workflows.
• Ensure timely delivery of architectural, interior, structural, and MEP design packages.
• Review and track design documentation to ensure all drawings and technical submittals are coordinated across disciplines.
• Identify and escalate design clashes, scope gaps, and inconsistencies.
• Maintain the design register, tracking drawing submissions, approvals, and revisions.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain timely design input.
• Assist with the preparation of documents for local authority submissions (e.g., Dubai Municipality, DCD, DEWA, Trakhees).
• Evaluate site conditions and coordinate with the site team to ensure design intent is implemented during construction.
• Respond to site RFIs and support the Design Manager in issuing technical clarifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in design coordination within the fit-out or construction industry.
• Proven experience with UAE authority approval processes and documentation standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Strong understanding of interior fit-out processes and multi-disciplinary coordination (Architecture, ID, MEP).
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Revit or BIM tools.
• Experience working on fast-track projects with design consultants and contractors.
