Technical Design (Interiors)

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish system design.
• Create, maintain, and modify interior payload system and component designs using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools.
• Develop new design and analysis processes and tools to improve development effectiveness, quality, and efficiency.
• Provide product definition to engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Interface with project engineering, production engineering, and program teams to implement engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree + 3 years of experience, Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of experience, or 5 years of related work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in technical design, including modeling and technical integration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace interiors, materials, properties, design criteria, and release.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM tools such as CATIA, Mentor Graphics, or Unigraphics.
• Experience with Model Based Design (Catia V5) and systems engineering (Enovia).
• Experience working with technical requirements or technical writing.
• Knowledge of Boeing design, production, and build processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to convey complex ideas to various audiences.
