About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish system design.
- Create, maintain, and modify interior payload system and component designs using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools.
- Develop new design and analysis processes and tools to improve development effectiveness, quality, and efficiency.
- Provide product definition to engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Interface with project engineering, production engineering, and program teams to implement engineering solutions.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree + 3 years of experience, Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of experience, or 5 years of related work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in technical design, including modeling and technical integration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace interiors, materials, properties, design criteria, and release.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM tools such as CATIA, Mentor Graphics, or Unigraphics.
- Experience with Model Based Design (Catia V5) and systems engineering (Enovia).
- Experience working with technical requirements or technical writing.
- Knowledge of Boeing design, production, and build processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to convey complex ideas to various audiences.
