Technical Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Support the Digital Planning team by ensuring design models are accurately captured and organized for fabrication
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, including shop drawings and design standards
• Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for design and fabrication integration
• Provide scripting support for modeling and programming efficiencies under supervision
• Coordinate and manage supply-only contract activities across design, procurement, and fabrication stages
• Assist with material allocation, CNC machining preparation, and packaging
• Provide CAD training and support to Fabrication and Finishing staff

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in a technical coordination role within CNC, manufacturing, or fabrication environments
• Strong understanding of CAD modeling, technical documentation, and fabrication processes
• Proficiency in CAD software and technical drawing tools
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work on-site in a workshop environment with exposure to dust, chemicals, and noise
• Manual dexterity to operate machines and hand tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Rhino, Grasshopper, or Python
• Familiarity with CNC programming software like Lignocam or Mastercam
• Background in process improvement methodologies focused on optimization and automation
