Technical Consultant

Responsibilities

• Participate in advanced Professional Services engagements including enterprise migrations and architecture modernization
• Resolve system challenges and perform advanced troubleshooting
• Execute System Recovery Confidence Exercises and disaster recovery protection
• Conduct system proofs of concept for advanced ArcGIS Enterprise deployments
• Manage Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes-based deployments
• Apply knowledge of RDBMS, NoSQL, object storage, SAN, and NAS
• Implement enterprise authentication methods such as SAML/OIDC and domain-based authentication
• Collaborate with staff to resolve complex technical challenges and mentor less-experienced colleagues

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience implementing and supporting enterprise GIS systems
• Experience administering ArcGIS Enterprise
• Familiarity with troubleshooting technical issues in server-based systems
• Ability to apply a systematic, best-practice-driven approach to system engineering
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, GIS, or a related STEM field

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical experience with major cloud providers
• Experience with Python, PowerShell, or shell scripting
• System administration experience with Windows, Linux, or Kubernetes
• Knowledge of networking concepts including HTTP, TCP, TLS, DNS, and firewalls
