Technical Consultant – Enterprise Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure database solutions to support mission-critical applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during all phases of implementation including requirements, analysis, design, build/configuration, and deployment
• Configure and maintain database environments, including backup, restore, high-availability, and disaster recovery strategies
• Monitor and tune database performance using industry-standard tools and methodologies
• Implement data security measures, access controls, and compliance standards across environments
• Automate routine database loading, maintenance, and monitoring tasks
• Provide technical guidance and best practices for database design, migration, and integration projects

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in database design, administration, and optimization (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SAP HANA)
• Familiarity with database design principles, data loading, backup/recovery, and security
• Scripting skills in SQL and Python
• Exposure to geospatial concepts such as spatial data types and coordinate systems
• US citizenship with an Active or Current Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, GIS, or related STEM field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise geodatabases
• Knowledge of integrating GIS with other enterprise systems
• CompTIA Security+ certification
• Industry-standard IT certifications (Esri, Microsoft, Amazon, PostgreSQL, or Oracle)
• Master's degree in a related STEM field
