Technical CAD Designer

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 3D geometry, documents, and 2D drawings based on input from cross-functional teams
• Design finished products, tooling, fixtures, and technical documentation packages
• Develop new or adapted manufacturing processes and equipment
• Apply expertise in material and process tolerances for complex assemblies
• Inspect physical parts against 3D models and generate deviation reports
• Organize and store design information in digital formats

Requirements

• Over 4 years of 3D modeling experience in an industrial environment
• Experience in tooling design
• Proficiency in developing manufacturing documents including BOMs and assembly drawings
• Ability to design for both manufacturability and aesthetics
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Rhino 7 software
• Knowledge of CNC machining processes, software, and tools
• Familiarity with 3D printing and rapid prototype CNC manufacturing
• Experience interfacing with data management systems
