Technical Buyer

Responsibilities

• Strategic and operational procurement of non-ferrous metals (copper, zinc, brass, and scrap)
• Ensuring supply security and material quality for melting and casting operations
• Negotiating framework agreements and spot deals with suppliers
• Managing reprocessing accounts and determining alloy surcharges
• Selling secondary products from the manufacturing process
• Analyzing global metal markets, LME quotations, and currency effects
• Managing price risks through hedging and hedging strategies
• Identifying and implementing cost-saving potentials in the supply chain

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent technical/commercial training
• Proven experience in metal procurement (foundry, metal trade, or metal processing industry)
• Strong understanding of non-ferrous metal markets and LME exchange mechanisms
• Knowledge of hedging and price protection instruments
• Understanding of materials, alloys (especially brass), and melting plant processes
