About the role
Responsibilities
- Strategic and operational procurement of non-ferrous metals (copper, zinc, brass, and scrap)
- Ensuring supply security and material quality for melting and casting operations
- Negotiating framework agreements and spot deals with suppliers
- Managing reprocessing accounts and determining alloy surcharges
- Selling secondary products from the manufacturing process
- Analyzing global metal markets, LME quotations, and currency effects
- Managing price risks through hedging and hedging strategies
- Identifying and implementing cost-saving potentials in the supply chain
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent technical/commercial training
- Proven experience in metal procurement (foundry, metal trade, or metal processing industry)
- Strong understanding of non-ferrous metal markets and LME exchange mechanisms
- Knowledge of hedging and price protection instruments
- Understanding of materials, alloys (especially brass), and melting plant processes
