Technical Buyer

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase electromechanical equipment, technical parts, manufactured components, and tooling
• Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including quote analysis, purchase order creation, and tracking within the ERP system
• Support commodity management through supplier assessment, selection, and performance improvement
• Lead weekly delivery status meetings with key suppliers to ensure on-time material arrival
• Resolve procurement issues and nonconformities by coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders
• Support supplier surveillance, evaluations, and audits, including international travel to supplier sites
• Maintain the Approved Supplier List and prepare monthly supplier KPI reports

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience in sourcing, purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
• Direct experience sourcing electromechanical tools, equipment, technical parts, or manufactured components
• Proficiency in using ERP systems to enter, maintain, and track purchase orders
• Strong negotiation, supplier communication, and technical quote analysis skills
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Cincinnati, Ohio
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally to supplier locations (North/South America, Europe, India, and Southeast Asia)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or a related discipline
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 or similar quality management systems
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T principles
• Knowledge of special manufacturing processes such as machining and welding of complex metal parts
• Background in aerospace, defense, aviation, or precision machining industries
