Technical Business Developer, Subsea Business Development

Responsibilities

• Plan, build, and scale global subsea backbone capacity and submarine cable projects.
• Source and plan network acquisition and implementation strategies to expand the AWS footprint.
• Manage relationships with strategic suppliers and vendors to deliver new subsea capacity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, tax, legal, deployment, and engineering.
• Coordinate with capacity planners to ensure efficient and cost-effective network topology.
• Drive program goals and implement new processes to ensure continuous improvement in project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 10+ years of subsea industry experience with extensive knowledge of fiber optic networks and submarine cables.
• 5+ years of experience developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements.
• Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at an organizational level.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, including building processes and coordinating release schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Agile project management methodologies.
• Experience with automation and version control tools.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
• Experience managing or troubleshooting networks and working directly with customers.
