About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine biorepository operations including sample pickup, receipt, processing, and cryopreservation
  • Enter and maintain accurate specimen data in the biospecimen information management system to ensure traceability
  • Manage the storage, retrieval, and distribution of biological samples to research collaborators
  • Conduct basic laboratory procedures such as cell culture and sample preparation following established protocols
  • Maintain laboratory inventory, supplies, and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Participate in quality control activities to ensure biospecimen integrity and regulatory adherence

Requirements

  • Community College or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biological Sciences, or Health-related Sciences
  • Minimum of three months of related research experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DNA/RNA extraction
  • Experience with cell separation and cell culture techniques
