About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform routine biorepository operations including sample pickup, receipt, processing, and cryopreservation
- Enter and maintain accurate specimen data in the biospecimen information management system to ensure traceability
- Manage the storage, retrieval, and distribution of biological samples to research collaborators
- Conduct basic laboratory procedures such as cell culture and sample preparation following established protocols
- Maintain laboratory inventory, supplies, and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Participate in quality control activities to ensure biospecimen integrity and regulatory adherence
Requirements
- Community College or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biological Sciences, or Health-related Sciences
- Minimum of three months of related research experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DNA/RNA extraction
- Experience with cell separation and cell culture techniques
