Technical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Calibrate equipment and perform color changes
• Troubleshoot and correct color-related issues
• Perform mold changes and replace or repair parts
• Learn to troubleshoot machine problems and perform minor maintenance on auxiliary equipment
• Utilize Lean manufacturing concepts to improve processes
• Maintain department housekeeping standards and follow all safety procedures, including wearing required PPE
• Assist technicians with assigned duties

Requirements

• General mechanical knowledge or experience
• Ability to successfully pass a technical battery of tests
• Good reading skills and strong communication abilities
• Physical ability to bend, squat, twist, climb, reach, and lift 50 pounds without assistance
• Ability to become Lift Truck certified and complete Lock Out/Tag Out training within a reasonable timeframe
