Technical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist with site surveys, including signal scans, throughput tests, and capturing photos for equipment placement
• Support installations by mounting brackets, cable hooks, and running cables under the guidance of Senior Technicians
• Perform CPE recovery, removing equipment and tidying work sites
• Participate in callout repairs, inspecting sites for potential future issues and assisting with maintenance tasks
• Ensure tools, equipment, and consumables are organised and stocked in vehicles for daily operations
• Maintain cleanliness and order at job sites after installations or repairs
• Adhere to Health and Safety procedures and maintain high standards of personal and worksite safety
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team in all weather conditions, confined spaces, and at heights

Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Basic computer literacy
• Good working knowledge of hand and power tools used in installations
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Physically fit and able to work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces
• Strong organisational skills and time management
• Presentable, reliable, and punctual with a positive, proactive attitude
• Willingness to work overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar technical or installation environment
• Valid driver’s license
