About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct research, development, and support to improve PUBG visual quality
- Support the art production process for unreleased new projects at PUBG STUDIOS
- Improve visual quality and performance optimization through technical art solutions
- Improve and support art pipelines for various projects
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical Artist on photorealistic projects
- 2+ years of experience as a character or environment artist (or equivalent)
- Experience in technical review, R&D, or POC for visual quality improvement
- Deep understanding of art production processes
- Basic understanding of rendering pipelines
- Proficiency in at least one DCC tool (Maya, 3ds Max, Substance Painter, etc.)
- Experience with at least one scripting/programming language (HLSL, C++, Python, etc.)
- Development experience with Unreal Engine 4/5
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with game launch or live service as a Technical Artist
- High understanding of profiling and optimization (memory management, draw calls, shader optimization)
- Experience with procedural generation (Houdini, PCG, etc.)
- Console or mobile development experience
- Proficiency in English communication
