About the role

Responsibilities

  • Solve technical issues in the game production process including rendering, shaders, and asset pipelines
  • Analyze performance impact of art assets and suggest improvements
  • Optimize shaders and improve rendering pipelines
  • Resolve technical bottlenecks in artist workflows
  • Establish and manage performance standards and guidelines across platforms and genres
  • Provide technical support and optimization for global subsidiary studios

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Art within a game development pipeline
  • Experience in shader authoring and optimization (HLSL/GLSL)
  • Proficiency in DCC tools (Maya, Blender, etc.) and game engines
  • Scripting skills in Python, MEL, or similar
  • Understanding of multi-platform optimization (Mobile, Console, PC)
  • Strong technical documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to read English technical materials
  • Ability to travel overseas if required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience optimizing games for low-end mobile devices
  • Experience participating in multi-platform release projects
  • Experience improving performance for live service games
  • Experience collaborating with global studios
