About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for ETF and GED applications, providing guidance on enhancements, business queries, and bug fixes.
- Translate high-level business requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release planning.
- Define and execute functional, regression, and acceptance testing to validate delivered functionality.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues by reviewing logs, test results, and data outputs.
- Support release activities and perform issue triage during application rollouts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Analyst or Business Analyst within capital markets.
- Strong domain knowledge in cash equities trading flows, including order lifecycles and executions.
- Intermediate proficiency in Python for running, modifying, and troubleshooting scripts.
- Proven experience working within the SDLC in an agile environment.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for backlog management and documentation.
- Experience performing functional and regression testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) for data validation.
- Experience with Order and Execution Management Systems (OMS/EMS).
- Exposure to equity derivatives, ETFs, or portfolio management workflows.
- Familiarity with event-driven or near-real-time systems.
- Experience using BDD-style approaches (e.g., Gherkin) for acceptance testing.
