About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Branch Chief in the leadership and daily management of the Technical Programs Branch
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Technical Advisors supporting DHAPP country programs
  • Coordinate and oversee technical support provided to assigned country programs
  • Review country program activities to ensure alignment with DHAPP objectives and technical guidance
  • Support implementation of country work plans and monitor progress toward program objectives
  • Review technical reports and branch products for quality and consistency
  • Foster collaboration across DHAPP branches and external stakeholders
  • Mentor Technical Advisors and provide guidance on professional development
  • Conduct domestic and international travel for site visits and strategic engagements

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Public Health, International Health, Epidemiology, Medicine, Nursing, Health Sciences, Global Health, or related discipline
  • Minimum five years of experience supporting international public health or global health programs
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams or complex technical programs
  • Strong knowledge of HIV prevention, treatment, laboratory systems, or strategic information
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense global health programs
  • Experience working with partner militaries or Ministries of Defense
  • Experience with PEPFAR-supported programs
  • Experience managing international technical assistance activities
  • PMP certification or equivalent program management experience
