Technical Advisor - Plastics Extrusion

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for extrusion processes and equipment
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop processes and tooling for new product development
• Build technical competencies of operators through coaching and knowledge sharing
• Troubleshoot operational issues and lead formal root cause analyses
• Assist in creating and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
• Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances to recommend permanent manufacturing improvements
• Support the implementation of work processes, best practices, and operating procedures
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a clean room environment

Requirements

• High School or GED Diploma
• 8+ years of extrusion experience, including process/tooling design, setup, and hands-on troubleshooting
• Deep knowledge of thermoplastic extrusion processes involving various mixes and materials
• Proficiency with MS Office Applications
• Proven experience in training, coaching, mentoring, and influencing others

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Davis-Standard extrusion machines
• Experience with Zumbach extrusion equipment
