Technical Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute complex US GAAP research including ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 718, and ASC 340-40
• Draft and review technical accounting position papers and memoranda
• Monitor emerging FASB and SEC standards and assess business impact
• Own preparation of audit-ready financial statement schedules and account reconciliations
• Collaborate with external auditors on technical accounting and financial reporting matters
• Prepare process walkthroughs and build control frameworks for SOX compliance
• Assist in drafting and operationalizing corporate accounting policies
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Legal, and Tax teams to assess accounting implications of new initiatives
• Provide training and guidance on US GAAP topics to the broader Finance organization

Requirements

• 6-8 years of progressive accounting experience
• Public accounting experience required (Big 4 preferred)
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP (ASC 606, 842, 718, 340-40)
• Direct experience with public SEC filers
• Experience supporting external audits and PBC management
• Solid understanding of SOX compliance and internal controls
• CPA license required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a high-growth technology, SaaS, or infrastructure company
• Familiarity with multi-national consolidations
• Exposure to M&A accounting or ASC 805
• Prior experience in a pre-IPO or IPO-readiness environment
• Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP
