Nexus is a converged data platform for the AI era, built on an open-source foundation. We provide a unified operational layer across mainframes, data lakes, and warehouses, allowing enterprises to integrate AI agents without rebuilding their existing stacks.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical advisor and architectural voice within flagship enterprise accounts.
- Translate customer technical requirements and escalations to the internal engineering and product teams.
- Participate in architecture review boards, security reviews, and design discussions to ensure platform governance.
- Maintain technical alignment between engineering, product, and account executives.
Requirements
- 10–16 years in enterprise data or cloud architecture (SA, Principal Engineer, or TAM).
- Proven experience in multi-year embedded engagements at Tier 1 enterprise customers.
- Hands-on depth with the modern OSS data stack including Spark, Trino, Airflow, Iceberg, or Kubernetes.
- Ability to travel to customer sites in Charlotte, NC and NYC at an 80%+ cadence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer or Resident SA at major data platform vendors.
- Open-source contributions to components like Iceberg, Spark, or Trino.
- Deep familiarity with banking IT culture, risk frameworks, and governance.
