About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic technical architect and subject matter expert for Tier 1 global clients, bridging the gap between business requirements and payments infrastructure
  • Lead technical consultancy for API/SDK integrations, gateways, and cloud-native payment flows with C-suite and Senior Architect stakeholders
  • Own the technical relationship firm-wide, navigating the distributed technology stack to resolve bottlenecks and advocate for feature enhancements
  • Oversee technical efforts for key accounts, providing guidance during mission-critical events and ensuring SLA compliance
  • Conduct discovery sessions with client stakeholders and third parties to future-proof payment architectures

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Technical Account Management, Solution Architecture, or Technical Implementations within the Payments or Fintech industry
  • Deep hands-on experience with Merchant Acquiring platforms, including ISO 8583, REST APIs, and SDKs
  • 3+ years in a client-facing technical leadership role gathering requirements for enterprise-level deployments
  • Expert understanding of POI/POS systems, card-not-present flows, and end-to-end payment processing
  • Experience within the Fiserv ecosystem or at a major competitor such as PayPal, Adyen, Stripe, or Global Payments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with Payment Facilitator (PayFac) or Marketplace business models
  • Working knowledge of PCI-DSS, Card Brand Regulations, and KYC/AML compliance
  • Understanding of networking and connectivity architecture, including Firewalls, TLS, and Cloud integration
