About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical advisor and designated point of contact for assigned Enterprise and Premier customers.
- Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders across engineering, operations, security, and leadership.
- Drive onboarding, adoption, and ongoing optimization of cloud backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Conduct regular health checks, service reviews, and success planning sessions to ensure measurable outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve coverage, performance, cost efficiency, and resilience posture.
- Own critical customer escalations, coordinating with Support, Engineering, and Product teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Lead post-incident reviews (RCA) and advocate for customer needs by providing structured feedback to product teams.
- Develop reusable assets such as playbooks, guides, and automation recommendations to improve customer operational maturity.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud, data protection, or customer-facing technical roles (e.g., Support, TAM, Solutions Engineer).
- Strong expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP, specifically regarding IAM, compute, storage, and networking.
- Deep understanding of Backup and Disaster Recovery concepts.
- Proven experience managing enterprise customers or strategic accounts.
- Strong incident management and escalation handling skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Technical Account Management (TAM), Customer Success, or Professional Services.
- Familiarity with data protection platforms such as Commvault or Clumio.
- Knowledge of security and compliance topics, including ransomware protection and data governance.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and automation/scripting (Python, APIs).
- Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, GCP, or Azure Associate or Professional level).
