About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop expertise in several therapeutic areas and/or technologies
- Meet with biotech and life science companies to evaluate investment opportunities
- Analyze and communicate the significance of preclinical and clinical data sets
- Conduct due diligence to inform investment decisions
- Work with portfolio companies on strategy and pipeline prioritization
- Interview and survey key opinion leaders and subject matter experts
- Attend scientific and investor conferences
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of competitive landscapes
- Create and update competitive landscapes using proprietary mapping systems
- Assess inbound investment opportunities and make initial recommendations
Requirements
- PhD in the biological sciences or MD degree
- 2-5 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, or fund experience
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to analyze preclinical/clinical data
- Experience leveraging AI in a work environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in the Greater Boston area on a hybrid schedule
