Tech Strategy Director, Compute

Responsibilities

• Investigate and drive clarity on long-range strategic questions in AI
• Create comprehensive product and policy plans through virtual teams
• Model scenarios and tradeoffs to optimize AI investments across Google
• Create SVP+ forum content including presentations and communications
• Develop monitoring views to keep strategic programs accountable
• Collaborate with operational teams to ensure company-wide mandates are successful
• Identify process gaps and implement solutions

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, EE, or equivalent practical experience
• 15+ years of product management experience at scale in a technology-driven company
• Proven track record in driving 0->1 product capabilities and technical initiatives
• Exceptional organizational talent for high-velocity strategic programs
• Stellar verbal and written communication skills with experience addressing SVP/VP+ audiences
• Extensive experience in product operations and business strategy
• Strong analytics, strategy, and data fluency
• Experience in roles dealing with machine learning and/or compute
• Ability to influence without direct authority in highly matrixed environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with the role of compute and data in building LLMs
• 5+ years of product strategy experience managing complex, technical projects
• Experience embedding applied AI capabilities into products
• Quantitative and analytical mentality
• Past people management experience, including leading distributed teams
• Experience in corporate planning
