About the role

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Assets and Reservoir Engineers to maintain and provide data access for various reservoir studies and reviews.
  • Lead Reserves Reporting and Subsurface Benchmarking on behalf of the Asset.
  • Integrate subsurface data types, such as production and pressure, to present meaningful insights using industry-standard visualization tools.
  • Support Assets with reserves estimation, classification, reporting, Decline Curve Analysis (DCA), Well Test interpretation, and Material Balance (MBAL) modelling.
  • Perform quality checks on data and collaborate with stakeholders for verification and rectification.
  • Identify simplification opportunities to demystify process complexity.
  • Participate in the reservoir engineering network to share achievements and challenges.
  • Coach and train colleagues in reservoir engineering processes and workflows.

Requirements

  • University Degree in Geoscience, Reservoir Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience in Field Development Planning, Reservoir Studies, Estimation, Production Forecasting, or Annual Reserves Reporting.
  • Strong data management skills, including identifying data sources and analyzing data quality.
  • Deep understanding of various subsurface data types, including production, injection, fluid, pressure, and reservoir properties.
  • Proven ability to work on Exploration and Development activities within Subsurface and WRFM frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Reservoir Engineering applications such as OFM, IPM-Petex, or Kappa-WS.
  • Technical skills in data analysis using Python.
  • Experience with data integration using VBA or Power Query.
  • Expertise in data visualization tools like Spotfire or PowerBI.
  • Experience applying Continuous Improvement methods to optimize processes.
