Tech Lead/Staff Java Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex, scalable system architectures
• Mentor team members and drive technical excellence
• Lead code reviews and establish engineering best practices
• Optimize database performance and design robust data solutions using PostgreSQL
• Architect and maintain messaging systems using Kafka
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues to ensure system reliability

Requirements

• Extensive production experience with Java and JVM internals
• Strong system design and architectural documentation capabilities
• Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database performance tuning
• Solid grasp of messaging concepts and the Kafka ecosystem
• Exceptional troubleshooting and understanding of concurrency principles
• Leadership experience with team mentoring
• Upper-intermediate English proficiency
