Tech Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for multiple teams, ensuring alignment with business areas and architecture strategies
• Work with large-scale distributed systems and design resilient, flexible solutions that scale across products and geographies
• Mentor engineers across teams to establish and maintain a high technical bar organization-wide
• Write, test, instrument, document, and maintain code, including participating in code reviews and pairing
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering leaders to build new experiences
• Ensure comprehensive observability, performance monitoring, and error handling across services
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents as necessary

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience developing digital products in complex environments
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies
• Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale systems serving millions of users
• Strong background in object-oriented or functional programming languages
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives across multiple teams
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and raising the technical bar
• Practical knowledge of agile software development methodologies and CI/CD
• Advanced English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Clojure or interest in learning functional programming
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, or Datomic
• Ability to contribute to mobile and frontend development as needed
