Tech Lead, Software Development Engineering

Responsibilities

• Estimate, design, develop, and unit test application features and enhancements
• Lead the development of robust, scalable, and high-performance software solutions
• Provide hands-on technical leadership in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development
• Mentor and guide junior developers to foster a culture of continuous learning
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and business analysts to define technical solutions
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and development processes
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with a proactive mindset

Requirements

• 9+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in API development
• Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Spring Data JPA
• Proficient in RESTful API design, JSON, and XML
• Solid understanding of Java 8 features, Spring Batch, and Oracle/SQL
• Familiarity with design patterns, software architecture, and framework design
• Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum development environments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the cards and payments domain
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot
