Tech Lead, Self Driving Eval Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and technical strategy for core data platforms, including a "Single Source of Truth" data lake and metrics standardization.
• Establish and enforce comprehensive data governance frameworks to enable data discoverability and quality.
• Identify and address inefficiencies in the data development lifecycle to improve developer productivity.
• Serve as a lead technical liaison collaborating with Simulation, Onboard, ML, and Commercialization teams.
• Mentor senior engineers and guide critical technical decisions regarding system reliability and innovation.

Requirements

• Proven track record of setting technical vision and driving multi-quarter roadmaps for senior engineering teams.
• Extensive experience architecting and operating large-scale distributed data systems (data lakes, lakehouse, data mesh, etc.).
• Deep expertise in data governance, metadata systems, data lineage, and quality frameworks.
• Strong experience designing data-centric APIs, schemas, and data contracts.
• Expertise in data pipeline and query engine development.
• Proficiency in SQL and one of C++, Java, or Python.
• Excellent communication skills for articulating complex technical designs to diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with autonomous vehicle operations, logistics, or ride-hailing domains.
• Experience with Google's data infrastructure (F1 Query, Napa, Flume, Plx) or GCP services (BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow).
