About the Company

Orcrist builds the Orcrist Intelligence Platform (OIP), a Kubernetes-based data intelligence system delivered as SaaS or self-hosted/on-prem (including air-gapped deployments). We fuse streaming, batch, and ML workloads with a modern web application to support defense, law-enforcement, and enterprise missions.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical execution of time-boxed discovery and prototyping cycles
• Own architecture and technical direction for Innovation prototypes including interfaces, tradeoffs, and decision records
• Build thin vertical slices across UI, APIs, and pipelines to ship demo-ready reference implementations
• Validate feasibility under real deployment constraints such as cloud, on-prem, and air-gapped environments
• Produce technical handoff packages including designs, schemas, runbooks, and integration backlogs
• Mentor engineers through design and code reviews while setting quality guardrails

Requirements

• 7+ years of engineering experience
• 2+ years leading architecture and delivery outcomes
• Expert TypeScript and Node.js skills
• Strong full-stack fluency with React and Next.js
• Strong distributed-systems fundamentals including Kafka or event-driven design
• Practical Kubernetes experience
• Operational mindset with experience in logs, metrics, traces, and SLO-oriented thinking
• Strong technical writing and cross-team collaboration skills
• Eligibility to work in Germany

Preferred Qualifications

• Python proficiency
• Experience integrating ML enrichment services into product flows
• Search or graph experience with OpenSearch or graph systems
• German language proficiency (B1+)
• Experience in regulated domains like defense, law enforcement, or govtech
