Tech Lead

Responsibilities

• Architect and ship mission features including sensor integrations, workflows, and real-time dashboards
• Run deployments and incident response on-site, coordinating with commanders and SRE teams
• Harden air-gapped installs using GitOps, registry mirrors, audit logging, and zero-trust patterns
• Mentor forward-deployed engineers and partner with Product/Security on roadmaps
• Document and deliver accreditation evidence (BSI/NATO) and post-mission lessons

Requirements

• 7+ years engineering with leadership experience in mission-critical or regulated products
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript/Node.js, React/Next.js, Python services, and Kubernetes
• Strong background in security (Keycloak/OPA, Vault, mTLS) and observability (OpenTelemetry/Prometheus)
• EU/NATO citizenship and eligibility for security clearance
• German language proficiency (C1+)
• Ability to travel approximately 30% and participate in on-call rotations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience shipping air-gapped systems, sensor integrations, or tactical data workflows
• Incident command certifications, OSS contributions, or talks on mission software
