Tech Lead Manager - Full Stack

About the Company

Medra is building a Physical AI Scientist platform that uses AI, robotics, and biology to accelerate life science research. Our mission is to eradicate disease by developing AI that can operate scientific instruments and reason about experimental results autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and implementation of full-stack systems end-to-end while writing code daily
• Design and implement user experiences for customers
• Build internal tools to support and scale a robotic fleet across multiple deployments
• Set technical direction and quality standards for full-stack engineering
• Grow and mentor a small team of talented full-stack engineers

Requirements

• Deep proficiency with Python
• Experience building interactive front-ends with React or similar
• Experience with TypeScript
• Understanding of web programming (HTML, CSS, JS, HTTP, REST)
• Significant backend system design and implementation experience
• Proven track record of shipping complex technical projects
• Experience leading or mentoring software engineers
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, loosely defined environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with database technologies like Postgres and Redis
• Interest or experience in robotics, machine learning, or computer vision
• Experience working with hardware
