Tech Lead, Java Application Support

Responsibilities

• Ensure the stability, availability, and performance of complex Java-based financial production systems
• Oversee production system integrity to meet SLAs and ensure uninterrupted services
• Troubleshoot technical issues, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement permanent solutions
• Participate in incident calls and provide timely resolutions or workarounds
• Perform code installations in collaboration with development and QC teams
• Manage Disaster Recovery and production environment upkeep
• Participate in capacity planning, system tuning, and performance scaling
• Automate routine manual tasks to improve process productivity
• Work with Change Management and Release Managers on production deployment planning

Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of IT experience in development or operations support
• Hands-on experience with Java, JBOS, PowerShell, and PLSQL
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux and database management
• Experience in full life-cycle support within large financial services or banking environments
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools, version control, and automation frameworks
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Moogsoft
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ServiceNow
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting and onshore-offshore coordination
• Ability to work shifts, including weekend on-call support

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with UI Path or other automation tools
• Ability to develop custom tools, utilities, or macros to improve productivity
• Experience enhancing application documentation
