Tech Lead Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Technically lead Data projects and act as a technical reference for Data Engineering teams within EY Consulting
• Define and implement Data architectures in collaboration with Product Owners and technical architects
• Manage technical backlogs and participate actively in Agile ceremonies (daily meetings, demos, retrospectives)
• Lead active development tasks including data ingestion, quality enhancement, and enrichment
• Ensure delivery quality through code reviews, optimization, and refactoring
• Coach and mentor development teams on best practices and technical execution
• Evaluate new technological components to ensure relevance within existing Data architectures
• Support the selection and evaluation of technical resources to strengthen development teams

Requirements

• Master 2 or Engineering degree in Computer Science
• 6+ years of Data Engineering experience, including proven experience as a Tech Lead
• Proficiency in Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
• Experience with modern infrastructure tools including Kubernetes and Docker
• Hands-on experience with at least two major Cloud Data Platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, or Snowflake)
• Mastery of Scala programming
• Strong knowledge of DevOps philosophy and CI/CD tools
• Ability to design robust, scalable, and secure technical architectures
• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and React
• Good level of English (both written and spoken)
