Tech Lead, Business Systems Analysis

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis phase of projects, potentially managing one or more Business Analysts to support delivery.
• Collect, understand, and communicate business requirements, translating them into functional specifications and detailed test analysis for development teams.
• Collaborate with product and technical architects to define and design solutions.
• Document business analysis results and obtain formal sign-off from stakeholders and clients.
• Design, specify, and execute business test scenarios.
• Communicate with client subject matter experts and system users to identify needs and resolve product issues.
• Facilitate scoping for client and prospect payment change initiatives of varying complexity.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of business analyst experience specifically within the payments industry.
• Experience in Financial Services, with strong knowledge of US and international clearings such as SWIFT, RTP, ACH, Lynx, TIPS, Target2, or SEPA.
• Deep understanding of payment flows, including qualification processes, return flows, and exception handling.
• Experience mapping payment data to clearing message structures, specifically ISO20022 MX format.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Git, and XML.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in banking payment operations.
• Proven ability to work independently to resolve client inquiries and manage engagements to ensure a positive client experience.
