Tech Lead, Business Platform Engineering

Responsibilities

• Own the architectural vision for Bizplat's platform systems and define the target state for a consolidated service landscape
• Drive service consolidation by identifying redundant services and leading technical strategies to migrate workloads
• Design and build core platform capabilities including workflow orchestration, AI/ML pipelines, and event streaming
• Set and enforce engineering standards for system design, API contracts, observability, and data governance
• Partner with Forward Deployed Engineer teams to ensure domain solutions become reusable platform capabilities
• Make architectural tradeoffs between delivery speed, technical debt, and long-term platform direction
• Mentor engineers through design reviews and technical guidance

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years in a technical leadership or architect role owning systems at scale
• Deep experience consolidating complex service architectures and reducing service sprawl
• Strong systems design skills with experience building platforms for multiple business domains
• Experience with automation, workflow orchestration, or case management systems (e.g., Temporal, Airflow)
• Proven track record of driving technical strategy across organizational boundaries
• Fluency in designing for scalability, reliability, and governance in regulated environments
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to write production-quality code

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Forward Deployed Engineering or embedded platform team models
• Background in financial services, risk/compliance, or payment systems
• Familiarity with AI-powered decision systems, LLM-based automation, or agentic workflows
• Experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, Temporal, GraphQL, Go, Java, or Ruby
