Tech Lead, Autonomy Performance

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the autonomy performance measurement framework for Robotaxi, including metrics, dashboards, and leadership narratives
• Build and run the end-to-end performance improvement loop: detect, triage, prioritize, and drive root-cause investigations
• Lead cross-functional execution across AV core, robotics, and software teams to align roadmaps with performance outcomes
• Define and enforce performance release gates and regression detection for production deployments
• Work hands-on with Python, C++, and SQL to accelerate debugging and validate hypotheses

Requirements

• Demonstrated cross-functional engineering leadership in complex delivery environments
• Strong product and customer orientation connecting technical metrics to rider experience
• Deep experience in autonomy or robotics performance debugging with real-world time-series signals
• Strong technical foundations in learned systems and ML-driven robotics
• Production fluency in Python, C++, and SQL

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience owning releases to a fleet of robots or vehicles in production
• Familiarity with modern data and observability stacks like Databricks, SQL, or Grafana
• Track record of building scalable triage systems and performance programs in mission-critical environments
