About the role
Responsibilities
- Disassemble and remove mechanical and hydraulic components and systems from drilling rigs
- Prepare disassembled components for the next stage of the production process
- Perform welding operations in vertical, horizontal, flat, and overhead positions
- Plan and lay out work using blueprints, drawings, and written specifications
- Use rigging and cranes to lift and transport heavy components
- Set up, adjust, and maintain welding and cutting equipment
- Load drill rigs and components in preparation for shipment
- Maintain a clean workspace following 5S activities and safety regulations
- Detect and report defective materials or unusual operating conditions to supervisors
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Knowledge of welding principles and safe welding practices
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Ability to perform moderate physical labor, including lifting up to 30 lbs
- Ability to work at elevated heights using ladders or lifts
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of assembly experience
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Basic computer skills including MS Office and ERP systems
